Detailed Trip Program
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda
You will be met at Entebbe International Airport by our safari guide who will transfer you to the hotel reserved for you in Kampala or Entebbe and get a briefing about the entire trip.
Day 2: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park (5-6hrs)
You will have an early breakfast and drive to Murchison Falls National Park via the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will have the opportunity to trek the Rhinos, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can see the Rhinos in the wild. We shall have our lunch at the Sanctuary and then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park through Masindi Town. According to the time of arrival in the park we can visit the Top of the Falls on this very day, where you will observe the River Nile squeezing itself into a 7-meter gorge before tumbling 40 meters down in a thunderous explosion and then flowing down into a very peaceful river whose water banks are swarmed with a profusion of water and land animals as well as birds.
Day 3: Game drive and Boat Trip on the Nile
You will have an early breakfast at around 6.00am and set off for a sunrise game drive at around 6:30 hoping to see the Cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, Uganda kob, hartebeest, and waterbucks. You may also spot oribi, bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, shy sitatunga, bush duiker, warthog, and bush pig plus large carnivores including lions, leopards, and spotted hyenas. Crocodiles and hippos will be seen along the banks of the Nile in the afternoon when we go for the Boat trip. Some of the more common birds that can be seen include goliath heron, Egyptian geese, pelican, bee-eaters, kingfishers, hornbill, cormorant, and the saddle-bill stork.
Day 4: Travel to Kibaale Forest National Park
After our breakfast we shall thereafter set off on a 6-8hour journey to Kibaale Forest National Park. The drive is through verdant countryside inter-passing traditional homesteads and farms and via the towns of Hoima and Fort portal which rest in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon. We shall have our hot lunch in Fort portal Town before proceeding to Kibaale Forest National park.
Day 5: Chimp tracking and nature walk in Kibaale Forest
After breakfast, you will report to the Kanyanchu Tourist Centre before 08.00 am to catch up with the briefing on the rules of chimpanzee trekking rules by the Park rangers. Kibaale Forest National park has the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa.
The trek takes 2-3 hours and it will provide you with the opportunity to see a variety of other primates and animals as well as birds, and a variety of butterflies. You will carry your packed lunch with. After the Chimpanzee experience you will return to the lodge for some relaxation and later go for a nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland to see a variety of birds and monkey species.
Day 6: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After your morning breakfast, we shall then start on with our journey to the Medley of Wonders Queen Elizabeth National Park, this journey will be taking us along the foothills of Mt.Rwenzori through Kasese Town. On this day we shall have an evening sun downer.
Day 7: Game Drive and Boat Trip
On this day we shall have an early morning breakfast and set off to the park for our morning game drive hoping to see the lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, topi, and bushbuck among others. We shall later have an afternoon Boat trip on Kazinga Channel which is 42km long joining Lake Edward and Lake George expecting to see Crocodiles, Hippos, elephants and so many species of birds like the pied kingfisher, Malachite Kingfisher, Sandle billed stork, African Fish eagles and so many others.
Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On this day we shall have a relaxed morning and breakfast and later transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park which is home to the half of the remaining Mountain Gorillas in the world. This journey will take us through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National park hoping to see animals along the way, these animals include the Toppis. Kobs, Impalas, Buffaloes and so many others.
Day 9: Gorilla Tracking and Batwa Experience
We shall have breakfast at around 6:30am so that we can be at the park headquarters before 8:00am to catch up with the Gorilla Trekking briefing from the park rangers and then start off the experience. You are given one full hour with the Gorillas After the experience we shall later head out for the Batwa Experience/ Community Tour around Bwindi and that will be evening
Day 10: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
We shall have a relaxed breakfast as we prepare to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi which is the second deepest lake in Africa. Bunyonyi means a place of so many little birds in the local language. Upon our arrival we shall check in at the lodge and have a relaxed evening along Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo Park
On this day we shall be heading to Lake Mburo National Park, we shall have our lunch on the way before heading the lodge for relaxation and overnight after an evening game drive. Today’s journey will be taking us through Kabale district with amazing hills and landscapes. This place is termed as the Switzerland of Africa.
Day 12: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Lake Mburo National Park
On this day we shall have an early morning breakfast and set off to the park for our morning game drive hoping to see the lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, topi, and bushbuck among others. We shall later have an afternoon Boat trip on Lake Mburo
Day 13: Travel to Kampala
We leave in the morning and head to Kampala which is the Capital City of Uganda, this journey gives us a chance to get to the Equator Monument in Kayambwe town. We shall have a break at this point for some craft shopping or coffee and then proceed to Kampala.
Day 14: City Tour
You will have breakfast and go for the City Tour around Kampala giving us a chance to visit the Gadhafi Mosque, the Torture Chambers of President Iddi Amin Dada, the Kings palace, the street life of Kampala and so many other things hence marking the end of the Trip.
